On June 30, Rosebud C.D. joined Campbell County CD and Bighorn CD for a tour
of the 140 acre Bridger Plant Materials Center.
The Center opened its doors in 1959 for evaluation, selection, and development of
plant materials for Montana and Wyoming.  Originally leased by Carbon County
Conservation District, the center was purchased by the 104 CD's in Montana and
Wyoming in 1970.
The Natural Resources Conservation Service currently leases 130 acres from the
Conservation Districts.
BPMC has cooperative agreements with the National Park Service for native plant
restoration relating to highway construction in Yellowstone and Glacier Parks.
