Rosebud Conservation District
Conservation Days 2007- Day 2-Doug & Kim McRae's
Day 2 was held at Doug and
Kim McRae's place on Rosebud
Creek.

Approximately 50 students
and instructors from Colstrip
participated.
Here is Kathy Knobloch, Lame
Deer NRCS,  working her
magic with the kids.
There's nothing better than
hands on learning.
Michelle Gorder, Forsyth NRCS,
teaches the children how to
estimate the linear feet of
lumber in a tree.
Here Michelle puts a core
sample back in a tree after
the children have finished
counting the rings.
In this photo, one of the
students throws a spear using
an atlatl.
Steve Van Fossen has been teaching in outdoor classrooms for
many, many years.  Shortly after Conservation Days 2007,
Steve retired from the NRCS.  He will be missed more than
we can say.
